Loving Black Children and Yourself

Must attend both session (Mondays June 3rd and June 10th)
Come and join ashley as we gather, create art, and discuss the Joy and Love for Black children. In these sessions we will do the inner work of how we move when working with Black children. ashley humbly brings her 24 years of teaching to hold space with educators in the work of centering children's humanity, dismantling white supremacy culture within, and using art as a tool for discussion and growth. How do I notice my prejudices and biases when working with children? How do I recognize when this shows up in space with children? How do I support my colleagues in moments that feel "off" (racist, anti Black, ableist, transphobic, etc...) and what's my responsibility? It all can be overwhelming because one is also trying to be present and in care of children. It's possible. Though ashley is facilitating this workshop, she works with children everyday and still asks the same questions of herself. We are all on a journey to be our absolute best humans with Black children, ashley wants to do the work with you to keep pushing the inner work and is so excited for the time with you!
